Those within the group who are interested will be given the opportunity to tell their personal stories and the way in which their diagnosis of breast cancer was handled. Many of the attendees within the group have already been an inspiration on a one-to-one basis. So, this will be an opportunity to share that with others.
Following the meeting there will be a holiday party taking place at 5:00 PM. So close out the year with a bang and experience a rebirth for 2011.
The series is free and open to people from outside of the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center community. Registration is required. To attend tomorrow’s event or for information about future dates, contact Kris Smith at 212-342-3911 or at ks2666@columbia.edu. The current Wellness Series is in session until the end of February and meets every Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM in Washington Heights.
